Zhang Rujia (张汝佳)

Zhang Rujia works with clay through the language of everyday vessels, exploring the natural forms and textures that emerge between material, fire and the hand.

Her works retain subtle irregularities and traces of the making process, with an emphasis on touch, proportion and the experience of daily use rather than perfect uniformity.

For us, these pieces are not simply objects to be observed. Through tea, time and repeated use, each vessel gradually takes on traces of the person who lives with it.
