Wu Yanhui - A Pure Ground for Tea Liquor.

He born in 1984 in Xianyou, Putian, Fujian, graduated from the Art Department of Minjiang University in 2009. In 2014, he began learning ceramics through online resources and established his personal pottery studio. From 2014 to 2019, his main focus was on researching traditional Chinese folk ceramics. Since 2019, he has shifted his attention to the application of ceramics in contemporary daily life, and began creating a series of hand-pressed teaware using the Dehua kiln's impression-mold technique. His experiments have resulted in several series of teaware, including Rust-Skin, Silver Glaze, White Porcelain, Gold Glaze, Grey Glaze, and Jian-kiln inspired pieces. During this period, he also co-designed an oval-shaped gaiwan with Mr. Chen Jishu, for which they applied for a design patent. The piece is named the "Oval Hand-Pressed Gaiwan."
